Rainhill High School ‘A’ level Results 2011
Rainhill High School ‘A’ level results have improved again in 2011. In 2010 Rainhill Sixth Form Centre had the best value added results in the town – beating ALL other post 16 providers. The 2011 are as good again, with a large percentage of students getting the new A* grade. At A level 40% of students achieved A*-B grades, with 99% achieving A*-E. In the BTEC Dance diploma 12 out of the 15 students achieved a Distinction which is worth 3 A levels at grade A*.
Four students in particular have achieved grades that allow them to go onto exciting futures Alex Graham has got a place at Oxford University to read Law. He got an A* in Government & Politics, As in Chemistry and Economics and a B in Maths. Andrew McNally is going to Liverpool University to study Medicine. He got an A* in Biology and As in Chemistry and Geography. Megan Attwood is going to Liverpool University to do Applied Psychology. She got As in biology, English Literature and Psychology. Scott Sutcliffe is going to do the London Arts Educational School to do a degree in Musical Theatre. He got As in Fine Art and Theatre Studies and a Distinction (worth 3 A*s) in Dance.
John Pout, Rainhill’s Headteacher said; “These results are, yet again, excellent. The students have done very well indeed. They have worked hard; and had lots of support from their parents. The quality of their teaching has, also been excellent. I am very proud of all of our students and their success. The Sixth Form at Rainhill is full and over subscribed, and achieving excellent results.”

Rainhill High School GCSE Results 2011 11% up on 2010
Record Results for the 6th year out of 7 Rainhill High School GCSE results have improved again in 2011, for the 6th year in the last 7. The 2011 results are as follows 79% gained 5 or more A*-C including English and Mathematics 97% gained 5 or more A*-C 100% gained 5 or more A*-G 27% of all grades were A or A* - 330 more than the previous year.

John Pout, Rainhill’s Headteacher said; “These results are brilliant, I am delighted. It is great to see so many Rainhill students getting such high grades. This improves their life chances and allows them to go into Rainhill Sixth Form Centre and beyond with excellent results. I am very proud of all of our students; they have worked very hard and deserve these grades. The school is flying at the moment. We have excellent teachers, a good curriculum, a family friendly atmosphere, supportive parents and very high standards – it is potent mixture.”
