Rainhill High School Students help restore Mbigi Primary School in Western Uganda.

Mbigi Primary School is situated in an impoverished area of eastern Uganda and is in desperate need of help. Over 500 students and 9 teachers are forced to share four permanent classrooms and three temporary classrooms which need to be replaced. World Challenge began constructing a new classroom in 2008 which was due to be completed in 2010. Sadly this was not possible and for the last year the roofless classroom has housed students protected only by a ripped sheet of material.
The main task for Rainhill High School Students is to complete the unfinished classroom so that the children of this school can take lessons protected from the sun, cold and rain.
Whilst the roof is being constructed there are additional tasks for the team to turn their efforts to. In particular, the children would like you to create an outdoor play area. A vegetable garden has also been suggested as a means to provide a sustainable source of food and income for the school.

Rainhill High School Students Trek Vietnam

There areno good or bad seasons for visiting Vietnam. When one region is wet or cold, or steamy hot, there is always somewhere else that is sunny and warm. The wide range of latitudes and altitudes causes the remarkably diverse climate. Teams can trek in the Central Highlands or travel north to the border with China, to the Sapa region - both offer teams a variety of challenging routes.
Vietnam also has first class projects, such as the Friendship Village scheme where teams can make a real contribution the lives of the local communities. After the challenge of a trek and the satisfaction of completing a worthwhile project, team members can visit some of the superb and unique sights of this long and narrow land such as Halong Bay, a World Heritage Site.
